After paying our admittance fees, we walked the trail through the dinosaur forest. There are life-sized dinosaurs on display with placards explaining a little bit about them.

I was pretty impressed. The dinosaurs looked well constructed.

We played on the playground for a bit. It is quite nice!

Young Man specifically wore his T. Rex t-shirt for the occasion.

There was a little movie house where we watched a CGI depiction of an Allosaurus' life.

I learned from the Museum, which display fossils and little factoids, that a new dinosaur is discovered every 6 weeks. My left brain thinks that is quite amazing. One thing I am learning in regards to teaching and experiencing with Young Man. You get to learn right along with him!

The gift shop had a substantial collection of dinosaur items to purchase, which I was actually thankful for. I am not normally a tourist attraction gift shop person, but I was thinking the other day that I was running out dinosaur-related items to buy for Young Man. We bought a couple of books, a sectioned melamine plate, and a poster for Young Man.

Cheesy? Perhaps. But Young Man enjoyed it so much, and it was fun to see how excited he was to be there. We'll be going back. It's less than a 2 hour drive from our house.

oh to be the age where cheesy doesn't effect you yet... how I miss that feeling....
Sounds like fun, I was really into dinosaurs when I was a pre-teen, I might have some cool things packed in a box somewhere that I could send to little man, If I still have them I have some really cool models and such from a muesum or some such.... I will check with my mom...
Kyute! :)
It looks like so much fun! I know my boys would get a huge kick out of that place too!
