Design Process Part VI: Cast On!

Finally! After all the planning and maths, I get to execute the idea!

Yarn
Karabella Zodiac
100% Mercerized Cotton (worsted weight)
98 yards per ball

Gauge
* Stockinette - 5 sts x 6 rows = 1"
* Eyelet Rib (slightly stretched) - 6 sts x 8 rows = 1"

Eyelet Rib Pattern
* Rounds 1-3: *k3, p2; repeat from * to end of round.
* Round 4: *k2tog, yo, k1, p2; repeat from * to end of round.
* Rounds 5-7: Repeat Round 1.
* Round 8: *k1, yo, sl 1, k1, psso, p2; repeat from * to end of round.

Cast On

Pattern Start
Using US 3 24" circular needles, CO 175 sts. Work eyelet rib pattern for 4".

I'll post again about this design when I arrive at milestones, parts where technical explanations are required, or parts where adjustments to my original numbers are needed. For now, it's just knitting time!
