Design Process Part I: Inspire

Do you look at nature and have a desire to recreate the outdoors through knitting? Do you look at a color and consider it to be the perfect color for a sweater? Maybe architecture inspires you.

Currently, I am moved by music. I listen to something and I create a persona for myself as if I was part of the song. Who am I? What am I doing? Where am I going? What is my personality? What am I wearing?

When I quilt, I love thinking about the colors/patterns/fabric I'll use and how I'll design and lay it out. With knitting, I just think about all the patterns I want to knit. Maybe I'll get to the designing someday.

OOO use the MerLin I'm dying to hear what you think of it and see how it knits up!

That MerLin stuff seems cool -- I'll bet it gets nicer with use, as with the linen.
