Finished Object: Eileen

Dear Jillian Moreno,

Recently, I completed one of your designs from the book No Sheep for You. I absolutely love the fact that the back is the lacy part. I hope you don't mind that I gave it my point of view in making the front into a v-neck. I must commend you in that the pattern is error free. One of these days, I would like to chat with you on how you were able to achieve a gauge of 5 sts = 1 inch on Size 2 needles with worsted weight 100% linen. You must be a super loose knitter.

Sincerely,
Knitting Betty

Pattern: Eileen, No Sheep for You
Yarn: Garnstudio Bomull-Lin
Needles: Addi Turbo US 5 Body, Addi Turbo US 4 Trim
Gauge: 5.25 sts = 1 inch

Some Notes

  • How happy am I that I changed the neckline? Extremely.
  • I really should have made it smaller. But it still fits fine, and I'll still wear it.
  • I whipstitched the hem every other stitch, not every stitch.

This looks wonderful! Nicely done. Glad to know that I don't have to look up any errata for this NSFY pattern if I ever chose to do it.

I had thought about doing that top, but wasn't fond of the neckline. Obviously it's easy to change it, but I am lazy and moved on. I'd love to see how it looks on you =P
