Can you spare a square?

I've been knitting squares for afghans for online knitting community projects.

First, a square for Grandmother Purl. I used a pattern out of 200 Knitted Blocks by Jan Eaton. The leaves were knitted separately and then attached to the 8" stockinette square. The yarn is Cascade 220 Superwash.

Spare a Square

Next up, a square for a surprise blanket. I am not disclosing the information because the organizer has not yet revealed the project to the recipient. I used a drop stitch pattern out of Barbara Walker's Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns using Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino. I think it looks pretty cool.

Hope the recipients of the blankets enjoy the squares I have made!
